Pulse Of The Nation is a film written in the style of films such as James Foley’s, Glengarry Glen Ross or Menahem Golan’s Crime and Punishment. It is a thoughtful, stylized drama about the nature of politics and the people who participate in it. The plot focuses on one day in the life of a man running for Senate who struggles with his own personal demons even as he attempts to live up to the expectations of those around him. It also regales, the loves and friendships of those who surround and support him even while the untimely disappearance of his opponents plane on the morning of the election forces them to make difficult if not impossible decisions to win.
Written and Directed by Matthew Kudej, an editor and line producer here in Minnesota, Pulse of the Nation will be Matthew’s feature directorial debut, with the intention of directing and producing the film here in Minnesota, first as a short film, and then as a full length feature.
